Our metal recycling center on Old Route 17 (Harris Road) is now open. Located on the south side of Ferndale NY (about 2 miles south of NY-52), we offer friendly service and convenient hours, including Saturday mornings.

No appointment is necessary. Common household items we accept include kitchen appliances, water heaters, copper pipes, air conditioners (no Freon), metal shelving, metal fencing, aluminum siding and gutters, metal window frames, metal roofing, copper wires, and metal plumbing.
Can’t come to us? We’ll come to you. Sims offers multiple bin sizes, delivered to your production or repair site for managing the collection of metal scrap. Regularly scheduled pickups can be arranged.

Our scales are County certified and immediately displays weight totals for your confirmation. Electronically generated scale tickets ensures your payment is accurate and helps in getting you in and out quickly. We can provide lists confirming material received and account summaries as needed.
A valid government issued photo ID is required to sell scrap at all Sims metal yards.
Acceptable forms of ID include drivers license, state issued ID card, or passport.
